The conflict between India and China surrounding the Himalayan border could turn into a world war 3-type of a situation if not resolved or kept under control. However, tensions have risen between the two countries as of late as military tanks from both forces have now been deployed.
Photos circulating social media revealed that a standoff was occurring from both the Chinese and Indian forces at the disputed border in the form of the presence of the military tanks. Pro-China news outlets have since boasted the country’s Type-15 military tanks. This follows previous reports by Indian news outlets revealing that China has deployed over 10,000 troops to the Line of Actual Control at the border.
“India has been operating on the western border for many years and has many practices in the use of armored tanks and vehicles,” wrote China.com. “However, the PLA (People’s Liberation Army) was able to quickly form an advantage in the number of tanks at specific locations, and the level of equipment and technology was immediately superior.”
This also comes months after a bloody skirmish at the border by troops from both sides, the first in 45 years. 35 Chinese troops and 20 Indian soldiers died as a result of the bloody altercation between the two military forces. The altercation was caused when both sides agreed to disarm so as to deal with the border clash but tensions ultimately rose following the failed talks to disengage and withdraw troops from the border. This was commemorated by the Indian army in their Army Day 2021 celebration.
On another side of the world, tensions between Iran and Israel are simmering as of late due to the death of Iran’s top nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. Analysts have now claimed that Iran has also deployed drones in northern Yemen, a region controlled by Tehran’s Houthi allies which is a hundred miles away from Israel.
The unmanned drones are believed to have a range of around 1,240 to 1,370 miles. This means Israel and most of the middle east are within its range. Yemen is currently under an intense civil war.
